A Legacy Rooted in Vision
Mr. Nitin R. Joshi
founded the Group with SatyaGiri Shipping Company Ltd. as its flagship company, driven by a vision to modernise India’s water transport sector. In 1991, he took a pioneering step by introducing a luxury ship service on the Mumbai–Goa route, opening new possibilities for coastal travel and tourism.
Belonging to the illustrious Joshi family of Mumbai, whose legacy dates back to the 1700s, he also served as Chairman of the Kalbadevi Mandir Trust, built by his ancestors over two centuries ago. A respected industry leader, he held key roles with FICCI and IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, participated in several international delegations, and remained deeply guided by his spiritual gurus, Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and Parampujya Swami Gagangiri Maharaj. His belief in “Love All, Serve All” continues to inspire the values of the Group.

Our Journey
SatyaGiri Group was founded in 1984 in Mumbai as SatyaGiri Company by the late Mr. Nitin Joshi, a visionary entrepreneur and institution builder.
Origins
The name SatyaGiri was inspired by two spiritual influences — Bhagwan Sri Satya Sai Baba and Parampujya Swami Gagangiri Maharaj — reflecting values of truth, discipline, and service.
Early Growth
The Group began with SatyaGiri Shipping Company Ltd, pioneering passenger water transport in India. In partnership with the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, it played a key role in promoting coastal tourism through luxury yacht services, harbour cruises, and ferry operations.
Evolution
Over the decades, the Group diversified across sectors, building a reputation for innovation, entrepreneurship, and operational excellence.
Under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Dinesh Joshi, SatyaGiri Group has expanded its footprint across India and international markets.
